This is Nonfiction-Religion-Christian。 I haven't read this author yet but have enjoyed listening to his council from the pulpit。 I loved the first part of this one。 I liked the way he broke down the different ways prayers are answered and how personal revelation comes。 I think people often want, and maybe even expect, a lightning strike。 The author made it clear that action on our part too is necessary, not just sitting in a waiting room for your named to be called, so-to-speak。 The latter half This is Nonfiction-Religion-Christian。 I haven't read this author yet but have enjoyed listening to his council from the pulpit。 I loved the first part of this one。 I liked the way he broke down the different ways prayers are answered and how personal revelation comes。 I think people often want, and maybe even expect, a lightning strike。 The author made it clear that action on our part too is necessary, not just sitting in a waiting room for your named to be called, so-to-speak。 The latter half of the book contained his own personal experiences and how answers came to him in real life situations。 I thought of my own children and the current forks they are facing in their roads。 Overall, I loved his practical advice so 5 stars。 。。。more
Rebecca ,
I love learning about how to better receive and recognize personal revelation。 Many of the points made I’ve heard from Elder Bednar’s previous talks, but it’s the nuggets I haven’t heard before that stirred my soul。
Jill,
This is a short book, with clear simple teachings about the spirit of revelation。 It was precisely what I was looking for as I am learning how to receive, recognize, and act on personal revelation from God to me by His holy spirit。Have I heard Elder Bednar teach some of these same basic principles before? Yes。 But as he points out in the principle of repetition, repetition is one way to receive revelation。 The clarity and simplicity of the format and teachings of this book。 I have immediately pr This is a short book, with clear simple teachings about the spirit of revelation。 It was precisely what I was looking for as I am learning how to receive, recognize, and act on personal revelation from God to me by His holy spirit。Have I heard Elder Bednar teach some of these same basic principles before? Wynette Hawks,
Lots of ah ha moments for me! I listened to the book and promptly ordered a hard copy as I’m eager to review the concepts he mentions。 I’ll be recommending this book to all my friends。

Jason Burt,
Really loved the principles taught and examples shared in this great book! I listened to the audiobook and I always love it when the Brethren read their own books--just something about it coming from their own mouths is inspiring!
Cheri,
A book that seems simple, but is so profound。 He shares stories, experience and insights。
Mitchell,
Incredible book written in the same style as his previous work。 Concise, complete, and collective thoughts revolving around principles that guide one’s ability to obtain revelation。 The book is an easy, quick read and includes many more examples elaborating on principles of revelation than you’ll find in any other location。 I foresee myself referencing this book as I continue to fine-tune my ability to receive guidance from on high。
Kaitlyn Hawker,
This was a quick read but I loved it! I love the insights that Elder Bednar gave!
